BRACK: Readers suggest why so many people are voting early

By Elliott Brack  |  It puzzles me why people are standing in line for hours in record numbers to vote on the first two days of early voting. After all, they have all of three weeks to vote early.  “Why was it?” I asked some people, just to try to figure this out. We were also trying to determine who would benefit from heavy voting.

BRACK: How you can get a speeding ticket without police around

By Elliott Brack  |  You may get speeding tickets in some places in Gwinnett with no policeman around. Three Gwinnett cities now have “speed box cameras” in school zones that will issue speeding citations around schools in Duluth, Norcross and Lilburn. The Gwinnett County Police Department is also considering a contract for the speed cameras for use around public schools. Snellville is expected to erect the speed-checking units soon.

BRACK: Here’s a reflective look at this 2018 Georgia elective season

Today let’s take a look at the Georgia political scene for 2018.

Some of you have asked why GwinnettForum did not question these gubernatorial candidates in recent weeks as we spoke with many candidates.  We figure the voters know more about the governor’s  race than any other race in Georgia right now. So, we sought input only from candidates from lieutenant governor on down.
