By Elliott Brack  |  Man alive! Do the people of Georgia face a lulu of a constitutional amendment this year?  The amendment should embarrass the Georgia Legislature. It asks Georgia voters to compel the Legislature to do what it ought to be doing in the first place.  Ha!

BRACK: Whew! 135 candidates running on Gwinnett primary ballot

By Elliott Brack  | The 2020 primary in Gwinnett opened the floodgates for candidates, as there are 135 people on the Gwinnett ballot seeking to get elected and begin serving January 1, 2021.  However, only 17 political candidates are moving to the General Election without an opponent, including four Superior Court and four State Court candidates, plus the magistrate judge.

BRACK: One Gwinnett city election in 2019 has an unusual twist

By Elliottt Brack  | Come November 5, there are elections in 12 of the 16 Gwinnett cities.  A total of 51 candidates (one candidate had to pull out because of sickness) are seeking the offices of mayor or councilmen in these cities.

BRACK: Put transit on the 2020 general election ballot to see it passed

By Elliott Brack  |  So it’s back to the drawing board for transit in Gwinnett.  The tyranny of the minority—nine percent of the 543,000 people registered to vote in Gwinnett, defeated the proposal to bring modern transit to the county. The vote was 49,936 to 41,985, a difference of 7,951. Only 16.7 percent of those registered actually voted in the referendum.
