BRACK: Stature of the U.S. Supreme Court today is dwindling

BRACK: Stature of the U.S. Supreme Court today is dwindling

By Elliott Brack  |  In ideal times, the most respected institution of government of the United States ought to be the U.S. Supreme Court. This august body is supposed to be a watchdog of what is going on in the country. It is to arbitrate matters, and keep our country on an even keel in respect to law and order.

U.S. Supreme Court

FOCUS: Congress must devise ethical standards for SCOTUS

By Raleigh Perry  |  Our government is set up on checks and balances, supposedly.  But consider: at this point there are no rules, per se, controlling the ethics and morals of members of the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS).

ANOTHER VIEW: Dinosaurs are not extinct; they only take new form

By Ashley Herndon  |  Apparently to a majority of the “GoneOldParty,’” it is obviously more important that Justice Clarence Thomas and five others of the Supreme Court majority vote ideologically rather than ethically.

U.S. Supreme Court

FOCUS: Loss of faith in Supreme Court hurting democracy

By Jack Bernard  |  The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) is no longer the respected institution that it once was … and for good reason. Its recent decisions have been politically and ideologically biased, voiding present and long-established legal principles.

BRACK: Georgia native should resign from the Supreme Court

By Elliott Brack  |  Improper is what it is. He is guilty of impropriety.  We’re talking about, of all occupations, a U.S. Supreme Court justice.

For any judge to do something  unethical and improper is almost unthinkable. And on top of that, he’s originally from our own state of Georgia. How embarrassing, apparently for us, but apparently not for him. That makes it even worse. Yes, we’re thinking of Clarence Thomas.
