NEWS BRIEFS: Credit unions merging will create a $934 million firm

Members of Pinnacle Credit Union have voted in favor of merging with Peach State Federal Credit Union on August 15. The financial merger has been approved by the National Credit Union Administration and is effective September 1, 2024.

NEWS BRIEFS: Peach State FCU announces merger with 2 credit unions

Two more South Carolina credit unions are merging with Peach State Federal Credit Union of Lawrenceville.  Credit unions in Abbeville and Pickens, S.C., announced the mergers this week. The announcement follows votes last week by the two credit unions during a special meeting of their members. Both mergers, which have been approved by the National Credit Union Administration, are effective December 1, 2022.

BRACK: Government of Poland honors Lawrenceville credit union official

By Elliott Brack  |  A Gwinnett resident and credit union official has been honored by the Polish government.  He is Marshall Boutwell of Lawrenceville, president of the Peach State Federal Credit Union, who has been awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland, in a token of Poland’s appreciation and gratitude for his support and friendship. It is one of the highest awards awarded by the Polish government to foreigners.
