NEWS BRIEFS: ARC funds $280,000 for traffic study in Gateway85 CID

The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) has announced a significant allocation of $280,000 from its million-dollar budget to fund a comprehensive study aimed at enhancing safety, beautification, and transportation infrastructure along Jimmy Carter Boulevard in the Gateway85 Community Improvement District (CID).

NEWS BRIEFS: Ross to speak at Memorial Day service

The commissioner of the Georgia Department of Veterans Services will speak at the annual Gwinnett Memorial Day service on Monday, May 27, at 1 p.m. on the grounds of the Fallen Heroes Memorial at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center in Lawrenceville.  She is Patricia Ross, who previously served as the chief operating officer of the Veterans Education Career Transition Resource, VECTR Center, for five years.

NEWS BRIEFS: Watkins will be speaker at Memorial Day gathering

The 19th annual Gwinnett Memorial Day observance will be May 30 at 1 p.m. at the Gwinnett Fallen Heroes Memorial in Lawrenceville, in front of the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center.  Keynote speaker will be Gwinnett County Commissioner Lt. Col. (Ret.) Jasper Watkins III.
