BRACK: Encourage others to talk up and support March 19 MARTA vote

By Elliott Brack  |  Many people in Gwinnett are astounded that the county is approaching having a population of a million people. The estimated current population is 950,000. They are astounded, that is, in one way.

When you live and pretty much stay in one area of the county, and don’t get out of that area much, you know the streets are usually crowded. But it doesn’t seem like there are about a million people around you.

BRACK: MARTA referendum may be most important ever in Gwinnett

By Elliott Brack | JAN. 15, 2019  |  The March 19, 2019 referendum concerning Gwinnett County becoming a partner the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit System (MARTA) may be the most important election that Gwinnett has ever had.

It will show if Gwinnett County is ready to adapt the modern conveniences of the future, or is stuck in the mud in antiquated transportation systems.

By Elliott Brack  |  Gwinnettians can expect a decision by the County Commission soon on whether there will be a question on the ballot about public transportation, that is, MARTA, on the November ballot.

We hope there is. The commission could also postpone the vote, so that the county might vote instead later on whether it should join the new Atlanta-region Transit Link Authority, being called The ATL.

BRACK: Gwinnett, Metro Atlanta, finally moving toward key transit vote

APRIL 20, 2018  |  Finally, at long last, people throughout the area seem to be realizing that something must be done about the number one problem in Metro Atlanta: public transit.

We see this new concern in Gwinnett County, in Metro Atlanta, and most interestingly, at the Georgia General Assembly. Their action this year seems to open the possibility that significant transit action can start soon.
