ANOTHER VIEW: Actions of presidential children bring disgrace to the office

By Jack Bernard  |  The U.S. House Oversight Committee, run by right-wing Republicans, has publicly declared war on Joe and Hunter Biden, aggressively pursuing its questionable investigations. But let’s be real. Hunter is unquestionably a total bum, playing on his family name. However, so are the Trump kids, if anything, more so. FOCUS: The war on “Woke” is not won; continue seeking truths

By Jack Bernard |  An objective source, the Oxford Dictionary, defines woke as “aware of social and political issues, especially racism.”  However, the political right in America uses this term and has chosen to attack those of us who acknowledge our many social, political and environmental problems.

ANOTHER VIEW: Pharma lobby harming our people and our nation

By Jack Bernard  |  It was hard for me to learn about the biggest U.S. pharmaceutical lobbying group suing our government because a law was passed by Congress permitting Department of Health and Human Services to negotiate some (not all) Medicare drug prices for our seniors.

ANOTHER VIEW: Afghanistan was a mess for the USA from the start

By Jack Bernard  |  Recently “America and the Taliban” appeared on PBS’ Frontline Report.  Marine Seth Sharp was shown, shot in the neck and killed during Afghanistan counterinsurgency efforts. He was a 20-year-old from Bartow County, Ga., where I went to high school and my youngest brother was born.
