NEWS BRIEFS: Long-term patient rehab center coming to Gainesville

Patients in need of long-term inpatient rehabilitation in north Georgia will soon have more access to these critical services. Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) and Lifepoint Rehabilitation, a business unit of Lifepoint Health of Brentwood, Tenn., have entered into a joint venture partnership to build and operate a new inpatient rehabilitation facility in Gainesville.

After all, another 2.5 million people are expected to live in Georgia by 2045 (24 years away), adding to Georgia’s present population of 10.7 million (2020 figure.)
