List of GwinnettForum’s endorsed primary candidates

By Elliott Brack |  With the three primaries (Democratic, Republican and Non-Partisan) coming on Tuesday, June 9, today GwinnettForum will reiterate the endorsements we made recently of candidates.

This repeat may be less important than in previous years, since so many people have either personally early-voted, or voted by absentee ballots. However, for those voters who wait until the last part of the season to vote, we give these endorsements again.

BRACK: Forum urges nomination of these people in June primaries

MAY9, 2020  |  Today we present the result of spending time and getting to know 91 candidates in the upcoming primary and non-partisan elections. We are proud to endorse this list of candidates.

We do not endorse in any races where we have not spoken personally to the candidate.  We have not talked with unopposed primary candidates. If these candidates have opposition in the General Election, we will invite them to talk with us before November. In a few races, we do not find candidates worthy of election, and will not endorse in that race.

BRACK: Here are GwinnettForum endorsements in the July 24 runoff primaries

JULY 3, 2018  |  GwinnettForum urges registered votes to return to the voting booths on July 24 in the runoff of the two parties to determine the nominations for the General Election.

Even registered voters who did not vote in the May primary are eligible to vote in the runoff. However, if you voted in the primary, you must vote in the same party’s runoff on July 24.

BRACK: Here are GwinnettForum’s endorsements in the 2016 Georgia elections

By Elliott Brack, editor and publisher | While the national election has been relatively active, one like we have never seen before, the local scene has been relatively quiet. Though there are several local contests, all-in-all, there’s still little major political activity on the local front.

We had 43 candidates visit in our offices this year, though several have failed to spend time with us, and therefore, we cannot consider recommending their candidacy. We regret that they did not come by, for we know little about them or their candidacy. We figure the onus is on them.
