We have seen the shootings of downtown Atlanta expand to the suburbs, including Gwinnett County.

BRACK: Updating our List of Continuing Objectives for Gwinnett County

JAN. 19, 2021  |  A big” Hurrah!” for Gwinnett County. Two of GwinnettForum’s Continuing Objectives for Gwinnett County were achieved during 2020.

Gwinnett County took action in 2020 to ban all tobacco and vaping products from Gwinnett Parks. The outright ban will not only clean up our multi-layered park system, but it makes them healthier at the same time.

By Elliott Brack  |  Spending a year in graduate school at the University of Iowa, I became a regular reader of the region’s most influential newspaper of that day, The Chicago Tribune. It was a rock-ribbed stalwart Republican newspaper of high quality.  With gusto, it covered Chicago and the Midwest.  It had one feature I remembered when I came back to Georgia to get into newspapering.

BRACK: Action needed in several areas to improve Gwinnett

By Elliott Brack  | The start of a new year is a good time to review what progress has been made in the past year for GwinnettForum’s List of Continuing Objectives. Unfortunately, there has been virtually no progress on this list during the last year.  

During December, GwinnettForum emphasized the need for Gwinnett legislators to move quickly once the General Assembly convenes to increase the salary for the chairman of the Gwinnett County Commission. This is our most pressing need at this time.
