FOCUS: We must resist, reclaim, rebuild and be counted

By Ashley Herndon  |  We must counter corruption, inequality, false faiths and thievery.  Fear is not a viable mechanism.  Corruption is unsustainable as the wolf chases its tail.  The snake will devour itself, so we must avoid the pitfalls of bogus populism.  True populism is people power, not hateful corporate demagoguery.

FOCUS: Is corporate greed the source of many of our problems?

By Ashley Herndon  |  This expansion of greed needs journalists and the owners of media to take notice and act.  Where are Upton Sinclair, Ida Tarbell, Jack Anderson, and William Serrin in today’s media? My best guess is the current corporate owners will not hire them unless they lie like the actors under the thumb of people like Fox, Newsmax, One America and ilk.

FOCUS: Here it comes again: misguided “Plantation Capitalism”

By Ashley Herndon |  If any of our citizenry does not think “Plantation Capitalism” is being unleashed upon us, again, we need to review the U.S. History, not the conflated opinions of Tea Partiers, QAnons, Trumpsters, et al.  We can begin with an easily available reference in pre-Civil War history.

FOCUS: Words of Lincoln have meaning for our country today

By Ashley Herndon |  What a wonderful world. What a wonderful force…but wrongful motivation destroys. The primary motivations in settling North America were religious freedom, commercial opportunity, political freedom, and individual property rights for individual persons or a group, such as in Maryland, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina.
