NEWS BRIEFS: Firms get contracts to rehab three flood control dams

The Gwinnett Department of Water Resources will rehabilitate six flood control dams maintained in  the County. For each dam, work includes replacement or rehabilitation of a valve in the outlet control structure to ensure proper dam operation, lining the primary outlet pipe and performing maintenance repairs.

NEWS BRIEFS: Fennell new State Education Board member

Jennifer Fennell, Jackson EMC’s Gwinnett District Manager, has been appointed by Gov. Brian Kemp to Georgia’s State Board of Education. Fennell will represent the 13th Congressional District, which includes Gwinnett County. Her appointment expires in 2030.

By Elliott Brack  |  The post office almost tries to hide the cost of a first class stamp, since we now have “forever stamps.” There’s no association with the cost of the stamp printed on it.  It’s like they are trying to pull the wool over our eyes about how much it now costs to mail a letter.
