BRACK: Second doctor named Miles Mason goes into retirement

JULY 6, 2021  |  If you were living in the Duluth area in the last 60 years, chances are you knew of the medical practices of Miles Mason. You see, there have been two doctors named Miles Mason practicing medicine out of Duluth.  Miles Mason Jr. tended to all sorts of medical needs in the Duluth area until 1994.

Grace Long Clower, age 72 of Snellville, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021. Summarizing Grace Long Clower’s life’s activities resembles a nomination for Volunteer of the Year. This Snellville lady was a tireless and lifelong contributor to a number of organizations that she deemed worthy.

Jim Steele

The former chief operating officer of the Gwinnett County Public Schools, Jim Steele, died June 21 in Toccoa at the age of 73 from the maladies of prostate cancer. At his own request, there will be no funeral, because, as he stated: “Funerals were too sad and morbid.” His body will be cremated and his ashes will be scattered on a new road he had just seen finished on his farm in Toccoa.
