Gwinnett County Clerk of Court Tiana Garner is opening a new passport acceptance office at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center (GJAC). Passport services are now available at the office of the Clerk of Court. Residents can now apply for a passport by visiting the office from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, with no appointment necessary. Passport photo services are also available for a fee.
On Saturday, April 23, 2022 beds mounted on bicycle wheels will race around the Lawrenceville Square in a Bed Race to benefit Family Promise of Gwinnett. “It’s a light-hearted race to call attention to a very serious problem,” says Carol Love, executive director of Family Promise of Gwinnett County.
The Wreaths Across America Mobile Education Exhibit is on the road in 2022 and will be making a stop in Lawrenceville on Wednesday, March 9. This museum-on-wheels will be open to the public from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Entrance is free of charge. It will be located at East Shadowlawn Memorial Gardens, 87 Scenic Highway, Lawrenceville.
With a nine-fold mission statement, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine has established a Medical Education Center of Excellence, under the direction of Dr. Art Sesso, senior associate dean and chair of the Department of Surgery. According to Dr. Sesso, the center, which is the first in the nation, “strengthens the college’s ability to prepare the next generation of osteopathic physicians.”
