BRACK: How you can get a speeding ticket without police around

By Elliott Brack  |  You may get speeding tickets in some places in Gwinnett with no policeman around. Three Gwinnett cities now have “speed box cameras” in school zones that will issue speeding citations around schools in Duluth, Norcross and Lilburn. The Gwinnett County Police Department is also considering a contract for the speed cameras for use around public schools. Snellville is expected to erect the speed-checking units soon.

BRACK: Mountain Park area seeking to form a community association

By Elliott Brack  |  The Mountain Park community was among Gwinnett’s early residential growth areas, being relatively closer to Atlanta. BRACK: Unexpected events can gladden you, and cause you to pause

By Elliott Brack  |  While big events continue to dominate the news cycle in our daily lives, all too often we overlook insignificant happenings that can cheer us, or make us stop and think. BRACK: Good to see many high-quality political candidates in 2020

By Elliott Brack  |  Spending a year in graduate school at the University of Iowa, I became a regular reader of the region’s most influential newspaper of that day, The Chicago Tribune. It was a rock-ribbed stalwart Republican newspaper of high quality.  With gusto, it covered Chicago and the Midwest.  It had one feature I remembered when I came back to Georgia to get into newspapering.
