The story was in The New York Times on January 3. This person had four handguns in his jacket pocket, plus a 12-gauge shotgun and AR-15 rifle in a guitar case. This happened in March of 2021.

We commend the City of Peachtree Corners, Mayor Mike Mason and its city council, for not hosting an event to tell a few people about the state of the city, but in presenting a 22 minute video outlining the present activities of the city as Year 2022 closed out.
By Elliott Brack | At this time of year, words of Christmas carols reverberate in my mind, giving me pleasure. This carol, “It came upon the midnight clear,” has particularly been on my mind this year. The carol comes from 1849, when Edward Sears, pastor of the Unitarian Church in Wayland, Mass., wrote the words in a poem. It is said that the poem was first heard by parishioners gathered in Sears’ home on Christmas Eve.

Recently he announced that he would seek legislation to increase the salary of the Gwinnett County Commission chairman. The position of chair of the County Commission is the lowest in the five-county metro Atlanta area, being paid $86,920 annually.

With the way political campaigns work, it also targeted the state for a barrage of political advertising that the two Senate runoff candidates generated. Boy, did they fund them! And boy, did we all get tired of them!
By Elliott Brack | There was a big, nearly audible sound throughout the major centers of population in Georgia Tuesday night when the U.S. Senate race was called for Raphael Warnock. Some may have thought that they heard a similar sigh out of Washington, since the Georgia results will make governing our nation a little easier.
By Elliott Brack | If Georgia used the same method of voting that Maine and Alaska do, Georgians would have already settled who would have been elected to the U.S. Senate in 2022 from our state. There would have been no runoff election for the Senate. Georgians wouldn’t have the continuation of political advertising bombarding us.

The family-friendly event, Duluth Fall Festival, will take place on September 28-29. This is the 41st year, and the Festival has consistently been voted one of the top festivals in the entire area, including “Best Large Festival in the Southeast’” by national publications.
