ANOTHER VIEW: With clowns in the House, look for a “Do-nothing Congress”

By Raleigh Perry  |  There is an article in a current news source that questions Congressman Marjorie Taylor Greene and why she is saying what she is saying.  It goes into why she would laugh and that others should laugh at what she says.  She has spent almost 3 1/4 years in Congress and has accomplished nothing at all. She will live out the rest of this term and accomplish nothing.

ANOTHER VIEW: What variation in the S&P 500 tells us about the future

By Randy Brunson |  On my desk is a chart with S&P 500 data going back to 1929, almost 100 years. What does it show? The number of new highs set by the S&P 500 each year, over that time period. It’s fascinating for those of us who study trends.

ANOTHER VIEW: Despite setbacks, Gwinnettian enjoyed Antarctic adventure

By Jo Ann Nelson  |  After getting new clothes at an Ushuaia store, someone on the ship asked if anyone had any regrets about the trip. I spoke up and said that I had planned to do the Polar Plunge and regretted not being able to do that.  One of the crew leaned over and said he thought the wave coming into my room counted as my Polar Plunge.  It all depends on your perspective.

ANOTHER VIEW: Remembering bobby socks, short skirts and tennis shoes

By David Simmons  |  Years ago, after coming off the Appalachian Trail (AT) in late summer 1988, I ended up in Washington D.C., living on the top floor of a nine-story apartment building just across the street from the Department of Transportation.  I could sit out on my balcony and see the Washington Monument and the reflecting pool, and listen to the nightly gunshots coming from off in the distance in northeast D.C.
