We’ll be voting primarily for local offices in Democratic and Republican primaries. Non-partisan candidates for local and statewide judgeships and the Gwinnett School Board will be elected today.

You may be overwhelmed if you look at the Gwinnett sample ballots, which you can access to the right of this column. There are so many names on the sample ballot, and the ballot is long.
BRACK: Georgians have 2 horses in Saturday’s Kentucky Derby
By Elliott Brack | There’s interest in the Kentucky Derby for at least one family in Gwinnett. Keith Mason, the son of Ann and Wayne Mason of Snellville, is the co-managing partner of a syndicate which will have two horses running in the Derby on Saturday. Mason and Larry Connolly of Atlanta are co-founders of the West Paces Racing partnership group.
BRACK: Gwinnett should remove District Attorney from office
By Elliott Brack | In 2020, voters of Gwinnett elected a new district attorney, as Republican Danny Porter was defeated by a newcomer, Patsy Austin-Gatson, in a year when most Democrats won in the county. Mr. Porter had been the district attorney for 28 years, and had served with distinction, efficiently prosecuting criminals in Superior Court.
