BRACK: Judges give new president perhaps his first and only “No!”

By Elliott Brack, editor and publisher | Finally, and maybe for the first time, someone has said “No” to Donald Trump.

About the only other time he may have heard the words “No” was from his two previous wives, who finally divorced him. For sure, it seems that he has never heard the words from his parents, who must have given him his every wish. For sure they staked him with vast sums to start his fiefdom.

BRACK: Have you faced problems with your keyless auto not starting?

BRACK: Have you faced problems with your keyless auto not starting?

Ah, modern science! How many wondrous ways does it help us today.

Most of the time.

Most of the drivers on our roadways have for their entire driving life, when they got into an automobile, inserted a key into the ignition, twisted it, and the car’s engine came to life. Routine.

By Elliott Brack, editor and publisher | Among the Georgians trekking to Houston to see the Atlanta Falcons play in the Super Bowl were Carla and Tommy Carraway of Snellville. BRACK: Bits and pieces from all over, including a bumper sticker with a twist

By Elliott Brack, editor and publisher | Today it’s more Bits and Pieces collected from the last few days. Most recently, we spotted this decal when stopped at a traffic light on the bumper of an auto in front of me: “Do you follow Jesus this closely?”

A total of 23 cities sent crews to South Georgia to help in the cleanup, while two contractors also sent crews.

BRACK: How about eliminating the manufacturing of mobile homes?

By Elliott Brack, editor and publisher | The winds of nature can cause massive destruction. The continued and long-lasting winds of a hurricane cause enormous damage. Luckily, these days the weather forecasters can tell you often days in advance where a hurricane is likely to hit. While it may leave tremendous infrastructure and building damage, widespread human deaths are curtailed with the weather forecasters’ early warnings.

BRACK: Gerrymandering still rampant, with a long history in our country

By Elliott Brack, editor and publisher | Gerrymandering. It’s a menace to democracy, awkward, unnatural, outlandish, usually circuitous and often a patchwork, difficult to envision. Right now, however, it’s within the law, and its outcomes are hard to understand. I’m talking about some of the nation’s 435 Congressional districts.

By Elliott Brack, editor and publisher | Social media is wonderful and amazing. It is changing the world. But we are finding, it can be dangerous and upsetting, too.

How many family feuds have emerged from the unwise use of social media, with some relatives just plain being too open or curt?

BRACK: Our sincere wishes to President Donald Trump on his inauguration day

By Elliott Brack, editor and publisher | Today Donald Trump becomes the 45th president of the United States.

We hope that his administration is a good one for our country. He comes to the office after an unprecedented candidacy, and with the backing of many citizens who sometimes feel disenfranchised from everyday America. He also comes to the office without having won the popular vote.
