They come here to understand more about our high quality school system, and they come here to view Gwinnett’s top tourist attraction, the BAPS mandir in Lilburn.
By Elliott Brack | It was one of the most perplexing turns of the recent Georgia General Assembly. Out of nowhere, the six member Gwinnett House Republican delegation, near the end of the session, issued a press release saying that they were amending legislation to limit Gwinnett County from voting on another transit plan before 2026…..eight years away.
By Elliott Brack | The place was Gainesville, at Riverside Military Academy (RMA) on Friday, as Col. (and Dr.) Stanley Preczewski was installed as that school’s new president. A delegation of people from Gwinnett were on hand for this new chapter in “Stas” life. He was the second president of Georgia Gwinnett College, and has been a member of the RMA trustees for three years.
By Elliott Brack | So it’s back to the drawing board for transit in Gwinnett. The tyranny of the minority—nine percent of the 543,000 people registered to vote in Gwinnett, defeated the proposal to bring modern transit to the county. The vote was 49,936 to 41,985, a difference of 7,951. Only 16.7 percent of those registered actually voted in the referendum.

It was mid-May in the late 1970s. Before leaving Gwinnett, where it was already warm, I wondered about what type of clothing I should take, and besides a sport coat opted for a light jacket.
