An exhibition by renowned sculptor Olu Amoda, winner of the $50,000 Hudgens Prize for 2022 for Georgia artists, will open Saturday, Aug. 19, at the Fowler Gallery of the Jacqueline Casey Hudgens Center for Art and Learning in Duluth.

The Vietnamese community’s First Senior Center  opened to great fanfare in the Norcross community on July 15. Around 1,200 people attended the ribbing cutting event, surrounded by traditional Vietnamese celebrations and dancing dragons.

Longtime Georgia Department of Transportation Commissioner Thomas Douglas Moreland, 90, of Buford, peacefully entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Monday, July 24, 2023 at Northside Hospital Forsyth surrounded by his family.

 By Jack Bernard |  An objective source, the Oxford Dictionary, defines woke as “aware of social and political issues, especially racism.”  However, the political right in America uses this term and has chosen to attack those of us who acknowledge our many social, political and environmental problems.
