Ruth Joan Norman Ekong passed away peacefully on August 2, 2023, with all of her children together at her bedside. Ruth Joan Norman Ekong was born on June 26, 1939, in Saint Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. She immigrated to New York City with her parents and siblings, first living in Brooklyn and later in Jamaica, Queens, New York. Ruth had a true Biblical spirit – “whither thou goest, I will go.”

The Gwinnett Chamber of been awarded “Chamber of the Year”for 2023 by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) during the recent annual ACCE conference in Salt Lake City. This is the first time the Gwinnett Chamber has received this honor. The Gwinnett Chamber was selected as a finalist in the program in 2006.

A major study by the New York University Environmental and Animal Protection and Harvard University is reporting that in the United States lack of government regulations and oversight of animal commerce is creating a significant risk of another major pandemic.
By Jack Bernard | The U.S. House Oversight Committee, run by right-wing Republicans, has publicly declared war on Joe and Hunter Biden, aggressively pursuing its questionable investigations. But let’s be real. Hunter is unquestionably a total bum, playing on his family name. However, so are the Trump kids, if anything, more so. And, despite GOP screaming, absolutely nothing has ever been proven to show that Joe Biden has done anything wrong.
