NEWS BRIEFS: Commission approves reorganization of juvenile court system

A reorganization of the Gwinnett Juvenile Court system is coming as a result of a Board of Commission approval this week. The decision will establish a new administrative department and move administration of Juvenile Court to the Administrative Office of the Courts.

By rep. Dewey McClain | Here in Gwinnett County, for example, more than 99 percent of homes already have broadband available, but roughly one in five still aren’t connected.  Full digital participation has never been as easy as “if you build it, they will come.”

Four readers recognized the most recent mystery. Lou Camerio of Lilburn told us it was at the town of Bucksport, Maine, “….taken from the Penobscot Narrows Bridge Observatory. The highest bridge observatory in the world. It is very near to Fort Knox, Not the one with the “gold.”

Millard Berry Grimes Jr., of Athens, died May 3, 2022, at the age of 92, at his home, of natural causes related to his age. Mr. Grimes had a long career as a newspaper columnist, entrepreneur, and author.

By Margie Asef | Greater Atlanta Christian School (GAC) announces the  opening of the Ignite Center – a community co-working space located at 1500 Indian Trail Road Norcross, acoss from GACS.  With the rise of remote working environments for adults, GAC identified an opportunity to provide a professional coworking space for the community.
